The IZEA is located in the so-called Red School, on the grounds of the Francke Foundations (Franckeplatz 1, Haus 54).
By train
From the station, the Francke Foundations can be reached by foot in about 15 minutes. Follow the signs “Innenstadt” in the pedestrian zone. At the light on Leipziger Turm, turn right onto Waisenhausring. Directly to your left, you can already see the “Langer Haus” of the Francke Foundations. Continue onto Waisenhausring until Franckeplatz. The main entrance to the Foundations will be to your left.
With local public transportation
From the main station: You can take the tramway lines 4 (direction Kröllwitz), 9 (direction Göttinger Bögen), and 7 (direction Kröllwig) directly to Franckeplatz. The historical orphanage of the Francke Foundations is located directly on the other side of the road.
From the city: Take a tramway to the “Marktplatz”. From there, take lines 1, 3, 7, 16, or 18 to Franckeplatz, one station to the south. The historical orphanage of the Francke Foundations is located a bit farther down the road.
By Car
From Highway A9, take the exit “Halle”, from Highway A14, exit “Peißen” on the B100, direction “Halle-Zentrum”.
Follow the signs “alle Richtungen” on the B6 (Volkmannstraße) and then direction “Zentrum”. Leave the B6 on the big roundabout on Riebeckplatz, direction “Zentrum/Eisleben” and follow the signs “Franckesche Stiftungen”.
From the B80 direction Eisleben follow the signs to Halle. After crossing the river Saale, choose the first exit to the right on Glauchaer Platz. Then follow the signs to “Franckesche Stiftungen”.
Parking
As the grounds of the Francke Foundations (August Hermann Franck’s historical schooling compound) is not open to traffic, please use public parking spaces.
